Since the Trout Fanny pack is made to accommodate all waist sizes, the belt webbing is extra long and the end of it can stick out and get caught on fly lines. This instruction helps you finish the vest for your waist size and to eliminate the unfinished belt end. First, rethread the webbing through the buckle and tri-glide so the webbing end loops around the inside of the center post of the tri-glide as shown in the illustration above. Make sure the webbing goes through the buckle so the buckle blade faces outward. Next, put on the vest and adjust the buckle for the correct length to fit you while wearing a medium weight of clothing and waders. Once you have adjusted the buckle for an average fit, move the tri-glide about half-way between the buckle and the pack and adjust the length of the webbing end through the tri-glide so it lies even against the outside webbing. Now you need to sew across the two layers of webbing about an inch away from the tri-glide with a needle and thread or sewing machine to lock the webbing end. You then can cut off the excess webbing length and melt the cut end of the webbing with a lighter to keep it from fraying. With the tri-glide centered, you should now have enough adjustment to make the vest larger or smaller for you!
